You obviously have no idea what you're spewing out, Senpai didn't take anything from anyone.
He was the main dev of both mods, and pd2 turned out to be a way better, balanced and populair mod.
Edit; To answer OP's question, there are several mods for diablo 2, PD2, PoD, Median XL being the main ones being played and traded within.
