I have three kids ages 4, 5, and 6. I’m looking to get them in the game some, they like playing on the phones and recently I got out my Nintendo 64 which they have enjoyed. Unfortunately the youngest was a bit too rough with the controller, and I don’t feel like it’s great for them.

I was wondering hell the Nintendo switch hold up two younger kids playing. Or if I should look into some thing else. Also I was curious about game recommendations for little kids.

A Switch Lite might be a good option. It's smaller, lighter, and cheaper- minus the option to dock the console. Well worth the money, I love showing the kids the games I grew up playing (Online comes with over 100 free NES/SNES games) like all the old Mario games, Ghosts n Goblins, Zelda etc

Only like 100 dollars and you can add as many games as you like with easy mods. But Switch for sure if money’s not an issue.

those mini consoles are neat but the controllers aren't adequate I think they feel flimsy
I guess for the extra money, the switch is a tank and can take a kid beating

The switch lite is more like a tablet right? The joycon is connected and doesn’t come off? How does multiplayer work on this? And no way to display it on the TV?

I’m hoping to have all 3 kids and maybe me playing at the same time.

Hopefully the multiplayer games can be cooperative and not competitive against each other.

It is a tablet with Nintendo's durability. I've seen a 4 year old treat it like a cheap toy and it's still alive.
The joycons do NOT detach from the Lite, only the original model.
If you want to get something for multiplayer for ALL of the kids, get a regular Switch for the TV display (docking)

Might as well get the newest switch model, more internal storage and better screen (not to mention the white on black looks sick) IF you dont mind the extra $100

switch defenitly worth it i would buy 1 now and a new one later if i were you there are many games free which u can play and loads of good games to buy not saying super mario party is one of the games u four could compete against eachother its really fun but most games arent 4 player but 2 or 1 so u might wanna get more then one console for the kids or the better one for yourself so u cheat them out of their games gl i find the switch durable and very good qua games its another console u might wanna get because of the way how easy it is to run around in games like zelda and fortnite while knowing any age would like playing what u are doing so think about this why not two instead of one consoles +the mini sd cards u should buy as big as possible because of the games are pretty big and intense qua data but its a one time buy so u end up having good game gear with ur kids

both my kids 10 and 12 boy and girl both love the switch but i guess its really personal prefference
