This is a typical pronunciation question based on the difference of each other(s) language versus the English language and spelling to HOW it is supposedly pronounced... plus many other factors.
Depending on your country and pronunciation of words after being taught the English language, you can NOT get rid of your Accent pronunciation and when it is spoken, it sounds different.
Two typical words used:
"YOU"
"EWE"
These two words pronounced correctly in English sound the same, but they both have different meanings.
Now try to pronounce:
"Root"
"Route"
Now these two words in English is pronounced as a "Root" of a tree, but because they are both spelt differently, they have two meanings and to pronounce them correctly (in American English) it is Root. Whereas... "Root" pronunciation for a Tree Root is correct, and in American English it doesn't mean the same thing. This needs more explanation:
"Root" (pronunciation in English) is the same way an American would say "Route", the difference is in English, the word "Route" has the same pronunciation as saying "OUT" but with an "R" in front of it... "Rrrrr" + "Out"
So... Unid can be pronounced differently, but since we are talking about "Text" and NOT pronunciation, the 4 first letters identified = Unid which is a shortened word of Unidentified, thus, there is NO pronunciation needed.
EDIT: Basically it is shit language trying to compete with another. Spelling is the same, pronunciation is different, but the same fucking meaning:
Metre (English)
Meter (American English)
Kilometre
Kilometer
I mean come on... just because they are spelt differently because one Race did not understand why decided to create their own spelling of the word so they could dominate everyone else... FFS, who cares.
Old saying:
"take an inch and you want to take a mile" ... American saying before metric conversion... same thing as "Make a mountain out of a Molehill"
Perception.
