Plenty of the worst scammers have expensive stars.
I mean, you can literally check that yourself in the s/a.

I never cared how much fg someone had.
If they are active traders with no problems, it's usually a good sign.

Just dont trade with anyone that looks sus. My rule of thumb is finding a few people who tend to sell various wares. Then checking there before looking elsewhere. When Im the seller I never give first idc who you are. :thumbsup:

The 2/3 rule is dumb I give first to new people all the time,if it's worth enough to bother I just request a med or them to give first
Never have a problem
I got scammed once in 2007 lol through like 1000+ trades

Join Date, Post Count and Forum Gold..who joined jsp first, who has a higher post count, and who has more forum gold of the two players trading

This is supposed to be the moral standard of trust, that the “losing party” of the 2/3 rule has to trade their items first, wether they are buying or selling

But my suggestion is to eliminate the Post Count part of the 2/3 rule and replace it with individuals progression on the star tiers

Theres no mistaking the Join Date for what it is, thats set in stone, theres no manipulating that
FG fluctuates up and down between trades
But Post Count can be manipulated and spammed by simply just trolling general chat and other threads

Stars on the other hand show an act of giving back to the site, something trolls wouldnt really consider doing

Join Date > Star > FG

Thats how i feel, and if anyone wants to deal in a trade with me in D2R, thats how we are going about it, or we can get a mediator and cut out the bs all together, what do you guys think? Should we eliminate post count from the 2/3 trading rule on jsp and replace it with Star progression or just leave it as it is. Personally Post Count seems pointless to me when going by an honor system

I agree. You can transfer fg, you can spam for post count, and you can buy old accounts or make multis and use them later. Is it illegal? Yes. Do scammers care? No.

Everyone just goes first to me if its a big trade, and if its a small trade, I don't care if they go first or second -- I just drop on the ground for them and type t4t.

If people need to scam little amounts of fg, then thats a "them" problem.

Stars dont mean anything, they are just forum flex.

This section is for suggestions for the staff team to improve the site, the staff do not manage players social ideals.
Star count means little and so do post count and fg number, if you do not feel 100% safe then use a mediator.

As above, I also don't care for petty trades, I am willing to accept the risk of getting scammed as it comes with using this site. If there is a large or important trade, they can go first or I'll get a med. The 2/3 rule doesn't really matter to me, if you have a lot of fg or I've seen you around I have more trust. Some people have even used to 2/3 rule to scam people

To answer your question, I don't feel that donating to the site makes you more trustable. Also the stars are confidential and I don't wear my highest star.
