I'm upgrading my older pc and wondering if its worth getting a 30xx series.

Specs:
i5 4670k
Intel 760 gpu
16gb ram
MSI Z87 G45 board - pcie 3.0 x16 slot
700w psu

I'm just looking to max fps in 1080p for d2 resurrected and a few other newer games. Is it worth buying a 3060 gpu or am I just as good with a lower card (1660 or 2060)? :huh:

1660 will do the trick for all current games if u just want to play 1080p 60fps
3060 will be double price (~€400-450 vs €800-850, depending where u live etc ...)

and if u really want to go for 4k and higher FPS - high demanding games like battlefield 2042 etc ... u should invest in 3070-3080, and will probably have to replace your CPU aswel ...

just my opinion ...

i just ordered a 1660 TI myself,
running a I7 6700k / 16g ram (with atm a 2gb GTX 950 cuz my better GPU failed-burned-unrepairable -_- )

Thanks man, I am just looking to run 1080 @ 60fps. Otherwise I would go for a whole new pc setup. Bummer on your other card, I wont use AMD to this day because I had one burn on me.

Just sniped a used 1660 super for $300!

I was actually looking at the 1080, but its a pretty big price jump.

1070 Runs D2 at 60fps at 1440p for me
