China is massively regulating their bitcoin mining operations, that along with drops in prices means that the less profitable GPUs, like 2000's and 3060's, are coming on the market. So that's nice.



Something I've read is nobody is sure if we *actually* have a shortage right now. A lot of companies *think* there's a shortage and are bulking up their orders, which leads to longer fill times on every order.

It's very possible that once production is caught up, the largest buyers are satiated for a few years and TSMC is left with massive unused capacity, which will drive chip prices way way down.

Only time will tell.

i am from germany and every gpu is still overpriced everything is atleast 50% over msrp.
show me a link to a german shop for a 2060 super, 2070 super or any of the 3060+ gpus under msrp and i buy em

Would love if they were under MRSP in German! You are lucky getting an RTX 3080 around 1400€. That's 1150$ without german tax.

Think mostly everyone already caved and paid a scalper or went the smart route and bought a prebuilt I wanted a 3080 bad but I’m good with a 3070ti until 4000 series comes out you might wanna wait til then depending on what your current gpu is
As far as the length of the shortage maybe 6 more months prices will be normal IMO

I bought my first rig from NZXT BLD with a 3080 FE. I built my second rig with a 3080 FTW3 from a bundle. I also waited in line on July 20th for a 3090 FE which I paid $1633 with tax and sold within 2 hours for $1900. Help cover some costs of the second pc which my 3 and 4 year old will share for Minecraft and roblox 😂. But when I don’t have them it’s making me passive income mining.

Also not just a shortage just a crazy amount of mining and bots. One of the bots I follow one guy alone got 24 ps5s and another guy got 6 gpus. They checkout in seconds and make tons in profit.
