It's probably something stupid, like repair cost ist x % of Sale cost.
So I took a Snap that costs 3339 Gold to sell, for repairs to Charsi. She is charging 834 gold for a 0/60 repair job. That's pretty much exactly 0,2497775381850 - a quarter. So now testing just got a lot easier. (Repair cost is 25% of weapon price, probably).
Unfortunately there is a cap on the price of items, but I'm still under the 35k budget with my clean mart. This just moves the question rather than answering. But maybe there are resources that list affixes and their effect on sale price.
Price before socketing:
Price after socketing:
Will it be a percentual increase or a lump sum on top?
I'll tackle white marts price vs socketed marts next, to determine if there is a difference in number of sockets. It would be interesting to know if the socket or the gem really hikes up the price.
Did a few tests, and the 25% thing appears consistent, nice find.
About the influence of each mod on the price, it would make sense if it was a multiplier.
I believe it could be tested with magic items from early NPCs.
