i guess this is the right place to ask such question

well i recently bought a benq Zowie xl2411p eSports monitor, even tho its made in 2015 it's pretty common buy right now

The monitor is awesome the response time is the fastest thing i've ever tested. It's TN panel (fastest).

But the problem is the brightness or the backlighting, i tried to fix it reducing bright and contrast swapping gamma and meny other things on the monitor's control panel, downloaded the drivers aswell, it says Brightness is 350 mits which seems to be a lot. not like my eyes hurt but its annoying after some time on pc

Note : tryed to configurate it for a while now, 20% bright to 60% etc.

I wonder if some of you had similar problem with these ''gaming motinors'' and which idea you could give to me.

Basically i want this same monitor or closer response time but without this backlighting (too much), im still in time to return it obviously just wanna know your experience and hopefully this is the right place to ask such thing (first time i post there).

How you can help ? Basically saying you had same problem or similar and what you did to fix it, which monitor you use / used etc.

thanks

If you turn down brightness or the dynamic contrast it doesn't reduce the brightness of your screen?

That panel is rated fot 350 nits which is average nowadays. Reducing the brightness should be enough to achieve whatever you like.
If you can't achieve the brightness your looking for id suggest changing the monitor, it could be detective or just not to your liking. Personally id go with a fast IPS panel, they are much better than TN nowadays.

Mind posting a screenshot of your screen on a scene you find too bright?

yes i changed both brightness and dynamic contrast also activated night light and it's still not fine to me

it's not really to bright right now but still it's not fine

even on black colour its not cool, its like the light monitor has is too much for me

i think i'll return it tomorrow just wanna know ideas or alternatives , other brands , etc

so you think a ips panel or tn has something to do with backlighting or it's just faster response, would like to know the real reason maybe if i get 300 or 250 nits it will be better ?

i have an hp 22.5 144mhz and its really fine colours are better but response time is too low.

Maybe what you are referring to is Blackligt bleed?
Check out some photo of backlight bleed on google and let me know if its that.

Check your graphic card driver and deactivate 3d mode if it's activated
Maybe you got an old or another Monitor settings active.
Maybe it work
