+1 again, it would be great to just have a single button to close a trade as done/sold/over without bumping the thread

Yes. I think this is a fantastic idea.

Give the creator of the "trade or service" thread the ability to mark a topic as "sold" and simultaneously close the thread.

This will allow users to not spend time looking at trades that have already been completed.

10/10 idea.

I would like to stop and express my two cents on this topic.

First off to anyone who sees this. D2JSP has come a long way since 2006. I am so thankful for all the new adjustments to the forum. It really is a treasure to come back to after a few years away from it. ESPECIALLY the track topic idea. Whoever came up with that was brilliant.

As for a SOLD button. I don't think that's necessary as a lot of us users who actually track our own post usually edit our first comment to say "sold" or "purchased", so people aren't searching through every thread endlessly.

I will mention that a lot of people don't do this and certain posts get bumped ignorantly to whether a post has commenced sale or not, but if there was a way to by pass posts that already commenced sale, that would be nice.

It would save users time in searching for items and prevent posts that don't need to be bumped coming back to the front page of threads.

I'm not sure if there is any algorithm behind D2JSP and our posts, but if there was a way to "sink" our posts that we are done with that could useful maybe.

I specifically use Diablo 2 Resurrected soft core and it has more users in it than the prior diablo 2 (mostly because all three servers are posting in the same spot now).

I can imagine Diablo ressurected will die down eventually, but I wonder if there's a way that we could encourage people to edit their first post rather than implementing a button for the lazy or inconsiderate?
