Because it's risky for a ban with the bot busting, and if you get the persons account banned, they will be mad and want a refund plus compensation for the losses. Too much drama and headache so it's not legal.

Just like purchasing Inferno capes is illegal as well, but Firecapes are not.

100% not why infernal capes are an illegal trade. it's because infernal capes require you to remote connect to the persons pc, which is just too much of a security risk. Almost all capes done without remote terminal get romoved, but no confirmed cases of remote capes being removed.
Also tbh, theres only one person on this site with the skill to do a cape over the lag on remote terminal, and he probably wouldnt offer it.

I don't think I should mention how easy making and running a self made AHK script for 18 hours a day for a few weeks is.



Why not do it over a dedicated proxy? you game or bankstand on the same IP for like a month or so before/after then when its time for the infernal cape the guy doing it uses the same proxy.
Should work out fine Jagex sees the same IP doing the cape, that's what they use to determine capes to be removed.
