this is the kind of thing that was happening back when youtube was a free platform. Before half the world went batchit insane.

the first vid is from a creationist
one way speed of light
The Speed of Light - Jason Lisle

the second vid is from a antitheist. He would have a top notch vid if he wasnt so consumed by his agenda.
Regarding the One-Way Speed of Light

both are good vids. both about the speed if light. the one way speed of light cant be measured. that is the claim.

So his argument assumes that light is dictated by the observation of the people on earth??

there is no argument. the claim is the one way speed of light cant be measured.

Light goes one speed in the away direction and another in the reverse.

Its interesting but afaik there's no reason to think it isn't the same and since it cant be measured it cant impact any other measurements.

the thread is only about "one way speed of light cant be measured"

You don't get to dictate how specific a threads discussion has to be lol

Even if it can't be measured does it matter? Are there any applications that it could impact even in theory?

(lol but you do huh)

"Even if it can't be measured does it matter? "
(i doubt it)
(but if it could be measured and it is different? that would be a trip. :)

"Are there any applications that it could impact even in theory?"
(not that i know of)

on a side note. some evidence shows the speed of light may have been faster in the past (a claim made years ago and no i dont have a link). scientists really hate that claim and waste no time harumph-ing it down. lol because it would fubar everything. the real problem though is if the place is some kind of simulation? the speed of light would be pretty much meaning less? as everything would just be sensory input?

But does it really matter if they arrive at the same time ( as shown on the clock )? I mean using his problem with putting a signal in the middle with recorders on both sides, regardless of the time shown on arrival couldn’t you just take the time the signal was sent and take the time it was received and come to the same number?

Watch the veritasium video I linked. They go through a bunch of possible experimental setups and explain why they won't work.
