Mxl will never be good tho at least pd2 is still diablo 2 for the most part mxl is so far gone it’s closer to diablo 3 then 2

Imagine thinking mxl is worse than pd2

The point about PD2 is that they hit us with more gambling and RNG with the slams, more straight farm with maps format that they took from PoE and new viable builds, that's it. It's simply D2 on steroids. Mxl is another game base in D2. Both have achieved a good gameplay state.

point is, diablo2 is an easy game.
pd2 made it easier

mxl made a high end game outta d2 mechanics that is challenging as fuck in each and every way

I mean if you like vanilla D2 with a tiny bit of extra shit, fine, but it's been 21 years.

MXL is a completely different game with D2 as the base. If it officially released with its own assets it'd be a top of the line ARPG by far.

I would choose MXL over regular D2 any day (except for PvP of course).
