I understand the basics of you die you loose it all etc but I mean like, do people usually even PvP considering the risks involved? I know people sell some pretty cool things in the hardcore forums, me personally I'd be petrified to loose a maxed out geared player. Idk I want to try it out but what do y'all think? most pvp is bm with people using hacks to tp/exit around some % of life, but most people build chars to 1hit the opponent. We sometimes do tournaments and yes we do lose our characters but prices are very low by the time it happens

I have dueled in hardcore before 99% of people used hacks.
You cannot compare Hc duels and sc. Full rev pots are used, so you have to try to kill with 1 or 2 hits
Now hc duels are pointless because, as mentioned above, all use hacks such as: autoaim, farcast, chicken, auto pot etc. It's no fun

It can be legit. You just have to know people.. legit players are normally the ones not trash talking saying how their going to destroy a newb like you etc. trash talkers are typically the hackers. We also don’t care a whole ton about the gear. At the point your established in the reset you can likely make a char multiple times over. If your out of something you know where to farm it.

Right before ladder ends some people gather and Dule until the death. As a parting of the season and to use the same name.

Some people don't take the game too seriously. A lot of people use bots, to find gear, and rush their own characters. That way, the risk is really quite small. And then when they "win" (which isn't really winning), they brag about it and act toxic as away to bully others.

But fundamentally, i play hardcore, i find it much more fun than softcore. I don't play pvp though. I could imagine playing pvp, maybe for lower level dueling. But investing 2-3 weeks to build a character to level 85-90, and then lose it in a duel, is too much sacrifice for me i think.

The deal about hardcore is that you just have to be sure that every step forward you take, you are ready for what comes. You must know all the traps. And it makes it much more fun. You cannot get too relaxed or lazy or the risk increases.

Its just about getting a thrill. Has your heart ever beat out of its chest because you escaped death on your lvl 96 by 60 hp?
