Finally got the temps where I want them. Had to reinstall the nzxt m22 kraken aio and apply new thermal paste (it was idling around 40-60c). Even now that the temps are good (idle around 35-45c) I have to say I am not impressed by nzxt's products. Before I bought the parts for this build I was considering buying a nzxt h1 mini itx case and im glad i didnt with all the recalls on that. This nzxt cooler is kinda garbage for a 100$ liquid cooler I'm willing to bet the stock cooler that came with my processor has better performance. What sucks is i have to take my entire rig apart to change the cpu cooler. Also not very impressed with the case the nzxt h510, it was a struggle to fit all my components in this case and I had to end up using less fans than I wanted the front panel i/o is prett lacking. last let me say something about the sapphire nitro rx 6700xt that i purchased for just over 800$, its quiet, its pretty, but it sucks over 60fps because unfortunately my card has coil whine.
In conclusion this build is a happy disappointment, its nice to look at and its very quiet (other than some coil whine) but the fact is I built a intel/nvidia gaming rig about 10 months ago for about the same price and it blows this amd build out of the water. and its kind of hard to recommend nzxt anymore.

Are there any mini/micro mobo builds that you're happy with? Just the overall compact style is not my thing and makes everything a challenge.

I don't have a lot of experience with mini itx builds yet but I really want to make a mini gaming rig. I can imagine the air flow and temps being difficult to figure out tho.
I plan on getting this case,

for a future mini itx 4k gaming pc after I sell some computers lol.

This amd build isn't as bad as I thought, turns out the temp spikes are normal for amd ryzen 7 3700x, the way its designed makes it run hotter and boost speeds faster. after some tweeking and getting to know how amd performs its actually pretty nice. temps dont go over 79c in heavy AAA gaming sessions just have to get used to the temp spiking during normal computer use 37-65c. changing the power mode to power saver seems to really keep the boosting and temps down which is nice. nzxt m22 cpu cooler seems to be working as it should i was just confused by how the processor spikes. that being said if i was going to make a mini itx build not sure if i would choose a ryzen cpu as the temps may be too hard to keep down.

well when u have multiple gaming rigs built and at your disposal you can do things like compare and contrast and then say things like: this 100$ liquid cooler isn't as good as this 40$ cpu fan therefore its disappointing to someone like me. someone who has multiple gaming rigs to compare to. I can imagine how that can wiz past lesser fortunate people such as yourself scratching your head wondering why someone would do and say things like that. you really should focus on yourself in the mornings helps the rest of the day be more productive.
