Currently looking at QYLD. It sells covered calls on top 100 to generate premium to pay as dividends. With the exception of last March it's traded between 20 and 26 with a consistent 10-12% dividend yield. The companies they own are rock solid so the only real risk is if they don't manage their CCs well and cap their gains, but that'll still lead to consistent returns so it's not much of a risk.

Anybody know similar stocks? I'd like it if I could find 5-10 similar ETFs in different sectors to park cash in for several years at a time, but that there's not much down side risk for in case I need to liquidate for a big expense.

JPM offers a similar fund, but I don't remember the ticker.

I don't like them for the following reasons:

- high expense ratios upwards of 0.6%
- total shareholder return is lower than the market average, making dividends a red herring
- lower volatility and lower returns not suited to a young, straight male
