win64-shipping.exe - application error.
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000007b). Click OK to close the application.

I have tried everything google/youtube has to offer regarding this problem. I get this issue when trying to launch Rocket League/Scavangers. Other games work without issue.

DirectX up to date.
Visual C++ all downloaded/current.
GPU drivers all updated.
Scanned comp to make sure DLL's are up to date.
Run as administrator/Compatibility mode.

If anybody suggests something that I can try to fix this issue and it works to allow game to be loaded, I'll send you 1k FG. None of the above worked.

Here is a copy/paste of my system information from Steam.

When did the issue begin occurring? Has it ever worked properly before?

First steps:

- Open up event viewer in windows
- On the left hand side expand Windows log and then click on System
- Adjust entries by the most recent showing at the top
- Trigger the error by launching Rocket League/Scavangers
- Refresh event viewer by clicking the Refresh Button

Sounds like you're at least somewhat proficient with your PC - Look in the logs for this error. It's possible that it will reference something in particular that will lead us to a resolution. You could private message me the details or post them in here.

Nest possible steps:

Possibly silly question but have you tried to verify integrity of game cache within steam on those games or even done a full uninstall/reinstall of the games? op doesn't mention if you did this or not.

Tried this, this is what came up in error log:
Application popup: Scavenger-Win64-Shipping.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.

To answer your question. Yes, I have tried to verify integrity of game files and I have also tried deleting binaries folders within the game and then validated game files so the system redownloads those to see if that helps but it did not.

A full uninstall/reinstall might be worth trying. I've also read that some users of different games cleared the games data out of their hidden appdata folder and that resolved the issue. That's worth trying as well. Possibly look into an application like revvo uninstaller to make sure it removed all residual data from the install, hidden/temp folders & registry.

What antivirus are you currently using?

No antivirus, already checked windows is updated. I do not want to have to clean install windows to play a game, far too much to backup.

Computer is fairly new so there shouldn't be anything in hidden appdata folders causing this.

have you tried installing in a different storage drive or maybe running the app in windowed mode or turning down ur game settings from the .dll file
also double check which direct x version the game is set to use it may be set to dx12 or dx9 try messing with your game launch options

I've tried to uninstall the game from my storage HD and install on solid state drive to launch and vise-versa, neither worked. Both gave same error. I've seen videos online of people having same problems with Fortnite having to put sys dll files into their game folders but there's been no mention of which DLL's to put into these game files to get either of these particular games to work.

My comp has DX12 installed and I've tried to change launch setting as aforementioned in compatibility mode to windows 7/8, etc. and ran as admin, still doesn't work... I've tried almost everything I could find via google, reddit, YT, etc. but problem persists.

I think the issue surrounds two types of PC's: Those with newer Ryzen chips and those who upgraded older PC's from Windows 7 > 10 etc.,
I can't figure out what I need to do to resolve this, nothing has worked.

Edit: for fun, tried to update drivers using driver easy. Still getting error :(
