lets be honest, nobody here good enough at fps game to even notice difference between 240hz and144hz

Go 1440, 1080p is dead

is 27 inch also not that much the better the gaming advantage is better for competitive.
I also researched for like 4 hours yesterday about this jubject.
aparently pixel per inch 1440p is better for sharp imagines.
1080p is reccomended by most pro gamers, is what they use as default at major tournaments too.
I do want to see sick graphics . I know the jump from 1080p to 1440p is huge in graphics but takes toll on performance.

So far leaning towards the 240 1080p for not many gamers play competitive in 1440p + they usually downscail.
My last question I guess is I never compared 1080p and 1440p game graphics side by side is it super amazing difference like gameboy black n white vs gameboy advanced?

I dominate most games, I play swbf2 and halo 2160p 60hz max settings vsync on a 50'' @ 60 fps feels smooth af with a good rig that can hold the framerate. its headshots galore and i barely see a difference in performance vs a 34' widescreen 3440x1440p 144hz 120fps the human eye can only see so much and 1080p still looks good but why not go for the better image quality helps the immersion but im not tryin to be a "pro gamer" i guess its hard to go back to 1080p once you've played at 1440p or 2160p

Yeah I don't know why people are falling for this 240hz fad. The same people advocating it on here are the same ones from 5 years ago saying the average human eye can't really destinguish beyond 60hz.

Now 60 to 144 okay maybe there's a difference that's destinguishable but let's be honest the average users are not pro gamers most just want a good looking game and for their rig it means 1440p at 60fps if that due to the cost of current GPUs.

What is better for gaming a 1440p / 144 hz screen Vs 1080p / 240hz screen?

Performance: 1080p @ 240hz > fps vs. 1440p@144hz (more speed, less things to render)

Resolution: 1440p > 1080p (more crisp, better visuals)

1440p/4k will trade off performance for better visuals. FPS could matter for very competitive games, but a strong GPU could handle both scenarios relatively well. You can also trade off game settings and not run everything on Ultra to compensate. That being said, higher fps may not always be meaningful for the specific software you are running. Higher refresh rates claim to improve the motion blurr we perceive so that could be appealing to most users. People also have different eye sight, room lighting and other conditions. Ultimately, choose what most appeals to you and according to your present hardware or future budget. A casual gamer may prefer 1440p as a happy medium, or 4k for absolute eye candy, and others rather 1080p to aim for max fps with their respective hardware.
