It seems almost like the computer is being put to sleep but I can't figure out how.

All USB Devices/Monitors shut off, but at the same time my fans seem to kick into over-drive and I can hear them spinning 100x louder than usual (I usually cannot hear them at all)

Power & Sleep Settings

When plugged in, turn off after
-> Never

When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after
-> Never

Additional Power Settings
-> Plan = High Performance

Change Plan Settings

Turn off the display: Never
Put the computer to sleep: Never

Change Advanced Power Settings

Turn off the hard disk after: 0

Sleep

Sleep After: Never
Allow Hybrid Sleep: On (Will swap to off now, but I doubt this matters)
Hibernate After: Never
Allow Wake Timers: Enable

USB Settings

USB Selective Suspend Setting: Disabled

First thing's first. What type of PC do you have?

Secondly - You mention that it "seems" like the computer is being put to sleep. Could you be more specific as to what the problem is? If you actually put your computer to sleep does it behave the same way when this issue occurs?

Lastly - Does something in specific trigger this issue to occur? Is it reproduceable?

Desktop PC Custom Build

By "seems like to sleep" I just mean monitors shut off like in power save mode but the whole all USB devices shut down is not normal IMO. I have a Mouse/Keyboard and Mic that have RGB's and all lights go off ect.

I will test a manual sleep here in a few minutes

Trigger; not really. Just time wise, I notice it more so after a nights sleep it seems to happen everytime, but I have noticed it doing it only after a few hours.

It does not ever happen to me during operation while I am actively using the PC.

When this sleep occurs are you able to wake the system by clicking your mouse for example?

Nope, its like all power to the USB devices are turned off, hence why I mentioned the RGB's ect going out. Nothing can wake it save for doing a hard power reset by holding the power button

Ok so first thing I can say is that your computer is not going to sleep. It's probably crashing. These types of issues are typically hardware related so first it might be beneficial to monitor the temperatures on your CPU and GPU to make sure they aren't too high. I'm worried about overheating but typically overheating will drop the whole system down instead of cutting power to peripherals and keeping the fans spinning.

You can use HWMonitor or something similar to monitor temps.

Yeah I can run it and see, but I can't fathom its heat.

Like I said, I can play games for 2+ hours (Skyrim, Fallout) ect. on highest settings that should push it to its limits and never have the issue. It's only when its idle it seems.

Here's a look while pretty much idle.

My TM at the same time

Thanks for that. Have you ever overclocked your CPU?
