Q:
Min/Max Dmg only adds damage to smite if it's on-weapon, correct?

Or does it have to fill both of these criteria to work:
1. +Damage (flat - not min/max)
2. On-weapon

(i.e. only from items like "Grief" & "The Redeemer")

Or could for example Min/Max dmg jewels work - but only if socketed in to a weapon?

"Set amount of damage" = does not apply
"Damage +X" = does apply

Aren't these 2 the same thing or wtf does a "set amount of damage" even mean here, a set amount means a "fixed quantity" to me i.e. "+X" NOT "+X-Y" but then the exception is "those items which have Damage +X" - which is a set amount of damage?

Grief and astreon are unique modifier “+damage” and work with smite

The X-Y damage on rare and magic items are two separate modifiers, one for min and one for max
X-Y damage on unique items like war traveler are a unique modifier that function the same as the two mod above, and neither apply to smite

They look similar but are treated differently ingame
The +damage stat is only on weapon currently. Not sure if it works on other item because those item do not exist

Set amount of damage = +min, +max or +min/max
Damage+X = i.e. grief
