So there is one thing I really dislike about the company, and it's related to insider sales.

Some insiders sold as much as 95% of their shares. I don't think this is because they think the long-term prospects are bad, I think this is because they know the stock-based compensation will continue.

I hope PLTR does away with their stock-based compensation soon, because it will continue to dilute current shareholders.

While PLTR is still a good long-term buy, I think it's gonna be kinda shitty for a while if they continue to dilute shareholders for insiders.

Yeah, this has been bothering me too. I have since liquidated all of my shares for a small 2% gain.

F me if they have blowout earnings later next week. But I think if earnings are negative, as most have been, we will see PLTR in the teens.

So that is what I am betting on as an individual shareholder.

I still have a lot of exposure to PLTR.

Why would anybody expect profitability this quarter? They haven't been profitable ever and theyre still in build up phase.

By earnings being negative, I mean all metrics being negative and outlook being negative.

Hard to say where the price will go. If it drops below $20 Cathy is going to start pumping it hard. There's a lot of support at 20, but the falling wedge is definitely converging on earnings.

Gonna have to do some thinking on what I want to do with it. Probably going to exit about half my position before then.

i have 300 shares @ 27. I had 500-600 shares at one point, but sold some at near break even to trim position after it tanked from 30s. I have been selling covered calls on it since the beginning of the year, and never had any shares called away. My best was when i sold some in the money calls the day it hit 38 per share for $300 each. In hindsight I wish I would have just sold my shares there, but getting that kind of a pay day was awesome. That week I set a personal record when I made $2,800 in total selling covered calls across my portfolios all in a 1 week span.

I think i will keep long term, and keep selling far out of the money covered calls for income. Even though the current price is $23, I am still up overall when I consider how much I have made selling covered calls in the first 4 months of this year. I highly recommend selling covered calls on anything you own at least 100 shares of. Great income stream.

I looked back through at all the contracts they've gotten, and decided to buy back my 45DTE calls at a profit and just ride into earnings. I think we're going to see good numbers, and $20 will be a strong floor.

Don't sell calls on something you want to keep. If you want to play options for income do it on stocks you don't mind owning, but don't have a strong feeling about keeping long term, and wheel it. Otherwise you're just capping your gains on your holdings for a small amount of extra income.

i have learned to not have a strong feeling about any stock. i only have a strong feeling about making money. selling covered calls has helped me with that later goal. i make an extra 3% per year, and rarely regret having stuff called away.
