I looked back through at all the contracts they've gotten, and decided to buy back my 45DTE calls at a profit and just ride into earnings. I think we're going to see good numbers, and $20 will be a strong floor.

i have 300 shares @ 27. I had 500-600 shares at one point, but sold some at near break even to trim position after it tanked from 30s. I have been selling covered calls on it since the beginning of the year, and never had any shares called away. My best was when i sold some in the money calls the day it hit 38 per share for $300 each. In hindsight I wish I would have just sold my shares there, but getting that kind of a pay day was awesome. That week I set a personal record when I made $2,800 in total selling covered calls across my portfolios all in a 1 week span.
I think i will keep long term, and keep selling far out of the money covered calls for income. Even though the current price is $23, I am still up overall when I consider how much I have made selling covered calls in the first 4 months of this year. I highly recommend selling covered calls on anything you own at least 100 shares of. Great income stream.
Don't sell calls on something you want to keep. If you want to play options for income do it on stocks you don't mind owning, but don't have a strong feeling about keeping long term, and wheel it. Otherwise you're just capping your gains on your holdings for a small amount of extra income.
