It's questions that cover the basics of what you learned about not getting sued during your classes. Plus a few random questions that will involve math skills with your commission among other things.

Did you take a class? Did you get a book? If so, reading that one book and absorbing said information should be enough to score that 75%.

Class I took was like 2 weeks long and gave me, a lazy ass gamer who was doing nothing with their life, more than enough information to pass.

Source - am escrowed Realtor in KY ; helped mother pass brokerage exam in FL.

Would passing this basic exam help get access to the MLS database? Been curious about that for years, free market with secret data. If 2 weeks BS to get, maybe worth it?

Passing alone is not enough. MLS is not available for single agents, you would need to license up with a broker. That does not necessarily mean joining the biggest Real Estate brokerage in your area (like Crye Leike or Keller Williams or Coldwell, etc) as there are fees involved with them usually but small single agent brokerages exist as well. My mother is one of these types. She is just her and her brokerage, doesn't necessarily have agents working for her all the time.

EDIT - You could go for your brokers license and do it that way as well but keep in mind there are more license fees involved, a more thorough exam, and core education classes required to keep that license.

I literally just took this and am working for Coldwell Banker Realty in Miami.
Let me know if you need any help.
