Don't think I'd want it in d2r, but in d4 I wouldn't mind an Inferno difficulty where if you die, your equipped gear drops...

Monsters are harder of course, and drops are better. But this also gives potential for gear looting, which gives rise to PKing, which in itself makes playing Inferno harder (in public games) and adds an interesting dynamic.

I can imagine that characters would be built to MF on as cheap items as possible.

Inferno would just be the new hell... how would that make any difference? If having 3 difficulties doesn’t give the end game content you want, how will adding a 4th? You’ll just beat that one too like the other 3 and then what...

4th difficulty should be as challenging as uber tristram.

make monster density scaling a thing above hell, up to 100x

Not much more higher exp I wiuld say .. but Higher challenged!! Just as a trophy difficulty or smth like that 💪

the best trophy would imo be a new title.


this would be fun cause once our char's are all gear'd out it can still be difficult. maybe encourage teamwork and make it 2 hard to solo

Yeah would be fun! Or just like a level or a rift portal there is needed at least 2 ppl cause solo is impossible! Haha 👌💪
