What I did the other night was simply kill > tp to town myself > warriv > act 2 > save quit

Javalin Amazon. My favorite build to play. I've gotten pretty good at reading the major MF zone maps, so running doesn't usually feel that bad.

Everyone knows that sorc will be king (or well, queen).

The advantage of rolling a non-sorc is that any non-sorc item willl initially be cheaper.

If you go for high rune farms that extra MF a sorc can pack won't matter as much.

Whilst a sorc may clear faster if you don't want to play a sorc you are subjecting yourself to potentially hundreds of hours in order to play what you really wanna play. I've done that mistake in games in the past, won't do it again. Not to mention, if your real goal is to have a barb/necro/whatever you've also saved yourself a considerable amount of time leveling that character than if you were to go with sorc first.

Sorcs are gonna struggle with resists initially, infinity isn't cheap. Some classes do not have this problem.

We do not know if there will be a game limit in D2:R. This will make a massive difference to which farms will be ideal. Spamming pindle would be hard to beat if no limit and doesn't really need teleport.

There being no maphack reduces the effectiveness of andy and meph runs to name a few. Classes that just clear zones (zon chaos runs) aren't hurt.

... Personally I'm sick and tired of sorc. I never was a fan of ass/druid so I will play either necro or amazon for moo-times (later chaos with the amazon), zerker barb or a smiter/zealer (maybe start with zeal). Still undecided.
