Lakers just got incredibly lucky that LeBron wanted to go there (partially for Hollywood off-court perks, etc). Nobody wants to play for the Lakers until LeBron went there, they couldn't draw a big name FA for shit.

LeBron single handedly saved that franchise from continued mediocrity or worse, and he didn't come through the draft lol.

76ers actually built around the players they drafted as franchise players.

We didn't start doing good until Davis showed up and those are facts. Bron's first year with us was a total disaster.

Davis only wanted to go to LA because of LeBron.

It all started with LeBron. He saves the Lakers franchise.

Move the franchise to Alaska, and watch how many free agents joining the Lakers.

I'm sure the weather, city, and team history had nothing to do with the decision. 🙄
