There's definitely D3 action mechanics in there...

But I can be ok with that, it does look like I will be able to have fun in this game as long as these things are done right:
- Trading (Best is fully free; playable is if it's as good as/close to free trading)
- Good itemization
- Not too flashy skill animations/too heavy on the COOLDOWN gameplay
- Decent PvP / Organized PvP
- Need for social interaction

those, as SBD said before me, are more deciding wether game will be good or not.

This open world/phasing take I love not gonna lie. I much prefer that over D3 where ur basically single player but online...
Will be hard to balance solo/multiplay though for sure. As long as theres things better solo and things better for group it will work for me personally
I know that some "strict SP players" will QQ alot if some content/progress is gated behind group play though...

Yeah, open world is super cool, that's one of the things which killed D3, and what I missed in D2.

I would've transfered to wow back in 2005-2010 from d2 probably if it wasn't for the 3d pov, lack of trading, worse itemization and also imo not as good pacing as d2 pvp
I bet I would've loved wow pvp if i got into it a decade+ ago though :D

It was probably the right decision to go "MMO-light" with this one though.
Cities with full MMO and where everyone with your save state/progress will roam about freely in the town we visit will be so sick omg :D
I don't even mind mounts tbh...

I never got to play Lost Ark, anyone did?
this seems to have been a major infuence, right? looks that way to me after just seeing gameplay on yt/twitch

If this game has good itemization, good trading, good social interaction I can see myself playing for years on end.
We must remain healthy and not get too big expectations though, they (current blizz) did make D3 after all, and many people within blizz seem to think "d3 was fixed with RoS": it was NOT lol. still a turd game.

I'm skeptical, but definitely still gonna buy the game. Not saying it wont suck but seems worth 50$-80$ today for sure.

i hope not but base D3 didnt have rifts either.."story mode" was dogshit too

just seeming how similiar the game looks and sounds to d3 is disconcerting to me especially when d4 was announced a year or two ago...it didnt

A lot of people on Jsp fail to understand that mmo elements can't hurt gameplay they love in D2 - you can always isolate yourself in private mode and play alone or with friends.
All mmo stuff is just extra bonus which you can use If you want. And look at pvp stuff - it is already much more gameplay value compared to both D2 and D3.

thinking the people who made d3 will get trading/pvp/itemization above elementary school level in d4 is a bit arrogant to me :rofl:

From what they've shown about PVP i've actually got decent hopes. Seems like a lot of fun. Not as in depth as d2 but still
Trading has me worried, pretty sure it's going to be scuffed with how they currently view it (only craftables/rares traded, others "earned")

not tryn to shit all over d4...i just dont trust blizz at all any more :c
they even thought announcing diablo immortal (mobile) as the next diablo game at blizzcon 2018 or something would get people hyped
