How much sugar can you have per day without it worsening your condition? ty
There is no exact number, as it varies for each person, but most recommendations are to limit your "added sugar" intake to less than 10% of your daily caloric intake.
So if you eat around 2,000 calories a day, try to limit yourself to about 50g of added sugar per day.
As a prediabetic you should be mostly focused on the added sugars, not as much on the natural sugars.
Have you looked into seeing an Endocrinologist? They are typically your best bet when it comes to managing diabetes and prediabetes.
