Which Bible version do you use?

I use the NLT for daily reading but I also use NKJV, KJV, CSB and NASB. I mostly use the KJV to cross check Scripture when I'm unsure of the reliability in other translations. Sometimes I use the NIV and AMP versions as well.

Honestly I wasn't a big fan of the documentary. I am a big fan of people reading the Bible though and I'm not going to knock people's KJV only beliefs but I have a great relationship with the Lord and I read multiple translations. I also go back to the KJV a lot to check verses. I do think the KJV is a must have though and it is the closest to the Hebrew and Greek versions of the Bible. I don't believe that modern translations are the work of the devil though. I'm talking about legit modern translations though..

I think what's important is to pray before reading the Bible and ask God to help us understand His word the way He intended and to help us apply it to our lives.

So you don’t believe that we have God’s perfect word in English?

That's a good question. I don't know Hebrew or Greek so I wouldn't know how close the King James is to the original. Although I've been told that it's the closest to the original. I do believe that God speaks to us through His word whether it be KJV, NLT, NIV etc or other translations in different languages. I would say God's word is perfect as it's not the actual words written on paper but Him that speaks to us through His word. I'm speaking spirituality not physically.
