you know the pho dipping sauce it's yellow and u just put on ur vermicelli and such.

and it's nothing like the one that they serve at pho. mines really dark in colour and it smells nothing like the other sauce they serve, in pho its a light smell this one is like rancid and potent.
anyone else been successful in recreating this vermicelli bowl sauce?
what i did: (made a double batch)
2/4 cup fish sauce (blue dragon fish sauce, is this one any good?)
2/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup water
4 tablespoon limejuice
4 teaspoon rice vinegar
and I left out the garlic, carrots this time to test their just garnish anyway.
