resets your character so you can change it's class. Level is also reset to level 1.

You don't lose any prof points or gear you previously had... just go back to level 1.

3rd time is a charm! I'm on my second climb too. I think me and u started playing around the same time.

Good luck on 3rd mq attempt! I'm lvl 61, going for my second mq.

I don't understand what prof points are yet... I think maybe like your fishing level/sword proficiency level/cooking level/etc

I'm not sure if you pass/fail mq if they all go back to 0 but when you reroll your char it just resets back to lvl 1-i don't think u ever really want to do this. Just finish the climb and it will reset back to 0 of you fail

Also not sure what proficencies do anyways. They take forever to level up. I did a whole climb and I dont think a single one of my proficiencies was lvl2 even so I have no idea what benefit they give you

Prof points are to Rank up your weapons / cast and healing charms, you can find the Ranking Tables here: https://ladderslasher.d2jsp.org/index.php?a=3&h=0&t=1
Use the tabs above to check each weapon/charm or character levels by class.

Each rank adds 1% Enhanced Effect.
Rank 0-1 you need 1000 prof total
Rank 1-2 you need 2000 prof total after reaching Rank 1
Rank 2-3 you need 3000 prof total after reaching Rank 2
repeat / rinse ... like Rank 15-16, you need a total of 16,000 prof point total.

For Softcore you lose Exp & Prof points if you die, so if you are after Ranks for weapon / charm, you should try NOT to die, especially at higher ranks because it is 10% loss of total prof points you have earnt (think it is 10%, maybe 20%... can not remember)

EDIT Forgot to add... once you have reached a Rank ... i.e. Rank 3 Sword, and you die multiple times, you will NEVER go below Rank 3 Sword

#2: Your character level has to be higher than your Rank to gain any prof points:
10 Maximum prof points per wave.
You need a "Successful Hit check" to have a CHANCE of gaining a prof point... outside of multi abilities, that means you get either 0 or 1 prof point per action on a successful hit check... so if you attack, and you do 0 (zero) damage, you failed the hit check.

Do prof points stay with u the entire season or forever?

Also, are they class specific? Like if I somehow get a prof point w my rogue, then I pass the mq and move onto samurai, will I still have that prof point or does it go away when I pass the mq?

If you viewed the ranking tables... it is based on the type of weapon / charm... not your character and are permanent unless you have done what I have done... deleted multiple characters on SC and characters that died on HC.
