topic, if you do something shitty to someone, do you believe that it will come back to haunt you later on in life?

im not talking about the religious definition of karma per se, i really just mean...do you believe what goes around comes around. or if you can fuck somebody over for personal benefit do you believe there will be no consequences for doing so.

I believe that if you continue to do bad things, bad things are bound to come your way.

I'm purely scientific..

I think that any negative action you inflict on any living being makes you less sensitive to the next act you may do, eventually you become indifferent to the concept of right and wrong

Building on this mindset a person then somewhat defines their future, if you are a monk you will find yourself living in a nice area with no enemies and you will probably live long

But if you are a drug dealer selling fake crack it's likely you'll get knifed at 7

Those are extremes..

What about if you find a missing valuable and fail to return it

What if you cheat on a significant other

What if you see a violent crime being committed and say nothing

Do these reactions have consequences further down the line in life? 🤔

I don't think they do how could they? The physics of one event cannot influence another if they are far apart in chronology

Concerning your reply on extremes... An avalanche starts with just a few pebbles so it would be wrong to say each pebble is insignificant if it's only pebbles that move first
