The game is nearly unplayable for me at this point. If I even attempt a harvest mob, my game will freeze for 1-2 seconds and then the graphics turn into play-doh.

My pc is on the lower end (rx570/g645 processor), but I've never had issues like this with POE, or any other game for that matter. I've already nuked the graphics and sound effects via the config text file, but the improvements are marginal.

Any advice?

dx11 sucks, switch to vulkan, and stop using the garbage standalone app, you'll CTD. also get a SSD because that helps a TON. You'll also need a processor from within the last decade (that g645 won't do.)
you can't nuke the graphics to potato levels anymore. that was only doable with DX9 rendering. Nuking the music helps a TINY bit, that's it. Nuking any other SFX does nothing.

edit: fixed a typo. keyboard loves to do that.

buddy has an AMD graphic card and keeps crashing, seems to be a fairly common AMD issue but AMD has not bothered to do anything about it

I used to be a big AMD graphics card guy and to be fair all my AMD cards lasted longer than nvidia, but always have had issues with them that was AMD's fault and they rarely fixed.
I am an nvidia only guy now

my processor is actually a G4560 - so it's from this decade, but still (most likely) the source of my performance issues

i'm getting d/c'd every other map or so, 3x in a row currently after 20 minutes of playing. 8700/1080 on an ssd. dunno wtf is wrong but it's trash this league and has never ever happened in the past. reinstalled, verified cache hella mad lol
