Hey guys i just finished my java more or less and thinking to run another char this weekend, what would u recommend? i dont mind pressing many buttons and kinda want to enjoy the endgame of d2 but cant decide on next hero.


I like assasin very much but she isnt rly viable is she? dont bash pls im new

Assa is viable as theese:
Kicksin + Death sentri <- Very viable on correct build
Trapsin <- Very viable on correct build
Lightning Sentry + Kick <- Very viablo on correct build
Wirl + Trap = crap in pvm
Bladefury = Usefull with the correct wep, but far from effective.
Rift kicksin with traps = Usefull - Not as strong as kick or trap... Super in early hell/nightmare. Getting hard in hell, and very slow in p8 hell.
Bearsin = Usable, much single target... Breaks Dura super fast. (fun char category)

every char is viable but some are slower than others. At least assassin is faster than druid

Assassin main thing is the versatility.

Trap hybrid with kicks is the best pvm one, can handle all areas at reasonable killing speed and can make ubers with ease.

New player:

Play fireball sorc -> get insight runeword -> teleport around with spirit (and earlier: leaf)
you can later rebuild into Blizzard sorc or Frozen orb sorc or (if you can afford infinity) lightning sorc


if you have JAH and BER
make hammerdin


for ubers you probably want
smiter



Other chars:
Whirlwind barb
Tornado druid

Skeleton necromancer (requires a LOT of runewords to work), very different to play


Fun chars:
zeal barbian
rift assasin
bear amazon (bad)

assa is kinda op on traps as long as you have infinity. she is also super fast with burst of speed and rs from items.

Trapsin or riftsin
Blizzard sorc (maybe lightning sorc when your merc has infinity)
Hammerdin if you have enigma
WW barb if u have griefs (oaths still good too)

Why ppl mentions 'riftsin' non-stop? it's not even a thing, it's just a trap/kick hybrid that uses a rift runeword, but there are way better weapons for trap/kick sins.
