If it’s not hbo it’s not worth watching. Yes some of these steaming services ie:(Netflix, Amazon, etc) come out with some decent shows every once and awhile. But there are lots of misses in between hits.
Cable television shows are just not appealing and bad. I’ve been spoiled by too much great stuff outside the rules and budgets and limitations of cable
It's unfortunate, but the truth. They all follow the same pattern, hook you with a somewhat interesting story (using something familiar like a renown movie makes this easier), poise a question/mystery and have that be the driving force to keep people engaged. Then just never give any closure, you keep pushing that mystery out further and further and if closure is given, it's by revealing in the same breath that there's a more important mystery and the one you've cared about didn't matter. Then viewership declines when people inevitably lose interest, and the show finishes on the lowest note of all the seasons, leaving every semi-competent person with a bad taste in their mouth.
It's tedious and fucking annoying and until even a single show proves me wrong, I will never bother with this formula again.
