Yes guild topics and it's features are useful but that is not pming multiple users at once. A direct and private msg is much different than something posted on a topic.

The larger your guild gets the harder its going to be to maintain it, simple as that.
Whilst I understand the usefulness of such a feature you fail to understand the ramifications it has on the site.
Its easier for you to have members apply themselves and be part of the team vs the site upgrading everything in hopes guild members utilize it.

It is 2020. D2jsp.org got a " paste picture " upload. Major ramifications or not pming multiple users at once is useful and you stated so. How this could be implemented and if it is a good reason is what a site suggestion can turn into. Does it mean it happens today? No. In 10 years or less? Never? Who knows. How this site suggestion could help a guild small or large is up to a user(s) and their personal intentions and or preferences.

Picture uploading is hosted by imgur, if jsp was hosting images locally they would be fucked within the year and I can almost say that with absolute certainty.

This is the correct answer. I hope this suggestion does not get implemented.

There is more than one way to manage “abuse” of such a feature.

Any other oppositions besides “it could be abused” because that can or could be said about a lot of features already implemented.

Use discord. This isn't ideal on a site where you can only have 50 messages max and would have to pay for more.
