This may merit it's own thread. Seen this circle around over the weekend in the Midwest. TLDR is 7 of 11 employees of a specialized medical unit put in notice they were taking positions with another provider. Instead of counter offering or quickly backfilling with competitive recruitment, they are seeking legal action against the other provider. AFAIK Wisconsin is an At Will state and these employees did not sign a non compete and gave notice. Obviously slavery and indentured servitude are outlawed in the US, but is it acceptable to have employers and judges trying to coerce hiring practices in a free market?
