nah, that's just what most people who make this 'argument' WANT it to sound like (not sure if ed is one of them in general, or just cherry picking in this particular case), but unsurprisingly it's only ever mentioned to downplay (potentially) racist incidents or notions. when black people say "we can't trust police" or "we're discriminated against by banks and corporations", those people don't give a shit - they only ever cherry pick black voices when it suits their cause.
the whole "well acktshually it's racist to take issues of discrimination seriously - because it takes agency away from the discriminated" is a popular right wing talking point to diminish and reject criticism, so i'd be surprised to see you making it - if it wasn't so obvious that it's a desperate cry for attention, hoping a certain trumptard will acknowledge you. may m. bison be with you. pathetic...
