This is my first time to hardcore and just died in hell act4 (Lord De Seis....).
Would appreciate for guide or any feedback.

Here is my build and I feel I need to revise it a little bit.

I am thinking to put more on shadow master for tank. And, probably more str for monarch.

The most important factor when it comes to hardcore and assassins are great gear! Read some of the trapper/hybrid pvp guides in this forum. Usually what works in pvp works in hardcore - you can not skip your defence.

The solution isnt more in shadow master.

Max everything for traps.

Remember you have range with traps, no reason to ever die to seis since you can always be at a distance. When you are lower geared, use that range to your advantage. You can place them way ahead of you and let them do the work, without ever being hit. If stuff did get close to you, use mind blast to your advantage and reposition. This is mostly tips when you're lower geared.

Are you using fade? Max resist is important in general, but especially in hardcore. So is having block and damage reduction.

Dual claws is better than weapon/shield. You would put points into weapon block until 60%. Rest into vita (weapon block goes off the skill itself, not dex)

I am using sword/shield and fade. Claw needs more point and will do this while I got a pair.

Reason 60% is because of diminishing returns

I've always played hardcore and played trap sins quite a bit. Tucs with jade talon for claws, once you get resist you can swap to 2x tucs but the jade helps with resist with low gear. Then you just upgrade from there, hardcore will be hard this season to find really nice claws (ideally you want +6 traps with ias 2 sock)

1 point in mindblast cloak of shadows and you cant die if you play smart

claw block can block any attack unlike regular shield block

I’m not a smart player. Died again in pit.
I always do cloak of shadows, put traps, and then mind blast on the 1-2 mob.

This time I got level 87, str 156, life 1.5k, and double spirits.
Would like to try double claw if I can get a pair.

Just realize 60% need some points and would need extra levels to get lighting full.

Yes its where + skills come in. My hc trap sin is lvl 88 with 60% claw block and all traps maxed.

One of the problems you need to think about is traps are IAS, not FCR. With bad gear, you have no ias. Burst of speed helps with this but then you lose fade resist and DR. If you dont need resist, start using burst more to help with your trap laying speed. The DR from fade is nice, but you shouldnt be taking much physical damage to benefit from it.

You need to play smarter with a trap sin with bad gear. Dont just be running into stuff, by the time your slow trap speed laying gets traps down, ur taking hits. Always be placing ahead, not running into them. Use your mindblast if needed to stun them and reposition yourself.

Trap sins are amazing once you get claws with ias and jewels with ias.

shadow master cant mb

max shadow warrior, max light sent, death sent, shock, few into burst of speed, rest into venom so your shadow can cast it for more dmg

edit: strategy wise, stay far enough away from elite monsters and let the traps/merc/shadow do the work for ya

sin is the best hc char imo
