Just wanting to see what two(main) abilities you would select when solo'ing specific character class. Of course 3rd being optional to include:

Fighter: Powerstrike / Salvation (or Retribution)
Barbarian: Retribution / Salvation (or Retribution)
Rogue: ??
Mage: ??
Guardian: Retribution / Salvation (or Powerstrike)
Samurai: TwoHitBack / Salvation (or Retribution)
Paladin: Revenge / Salvation (or Retribution/TwoHitBack)
Monk: Salvation / Retribution (or TwoHitBack/Revenge)
Ninja: DoubleStrike / Salvation (or TwoHitBack/Revenge)
Head: ??
Alch: ??

I used Powerstrike / Salvation as my main skills with all classes so far, Monk is my highest. With Monk I use DS as the 3rd skill putting one point in it to start, I like focusing on PS because of lone EP.

Also, I use EE armors

I used to go 3 abilities but found much more success going only 2; mainly because it allows salv to be high enough to be useful when I start needing it

Edit: melee I typically go stat charm/stat armor, vit 85-95, int 40, rest str or dex

Fighter: Powerstrike only. Have no reason to use this over a barb though.
Barbarian: powerstrike / knockdown. I find my barb doesn't get hit enough to charge retribution at any reasonable rate. however i'm using 198ee plate, all the 0 hits don't count towards charging retribution. 1-35 die fast enough that i don't need to town if whistle. 35-50 maybe once per level.
Rogue: Powerstrike / knockdown
Mage: powercast / piercecast / pillarcast. generally prefer pierce over pillar from using knockdown.
Guardian: why would i want to solo one of these? even with fantastic clubs/heals and one of the better guardian armors out there, still would rather barb for the speed.
Samurai: multistrike / powerstrike
Paladin: Powerstrike / knockdown
Monk: I refuse to solo this class. if anything i'd cast it these days, so powercast + piercecast.
Ninja: I refuse to solo this class
Head: Powerstrike / doublestrike
Alch: Powercast / doublecast

i find knockdown to be really solid for solo with just over a 1 in 2 chance of when 3 mobs spawn, that knockdown can hit at least 2.
I dislike salvation, just would rather more raw vita and my other fighting abilities to charge faster than to spend extra points into int.
Often do 90-100 vit. rest strength on club classes, dex on dagger classes.

Would like to see some more from different players. Trying to comprise an efficient way to use Class Abilities more effectively, which may change some gear collections.

Forgot about Barb having Knockdown... so could change selection to Retribution + Knockdown ... basically by level 30 both of them will have a 48% charge up rate. So in comparison to using Powerstrike (off skill) ability where it is around 6 ability points to reach 40% charge up rate

Barb: Level 1-30 (7 ability points) ... Stat armor only (0 Enhanced Effect)
Abilities: All to Powerstrike (off skill) = 49% charge up rate
Abilities: Knockdown & Retribution = 48% charge up rate EACH
... Armor Tier (Level) with stats only from level 1 i.e. TierIII, TierVI (lvl15) & TierVIII (lvl25) - 35, 45, 55 ... basically reducing equipment changes in run and helping "Charge up with Hits Taken" abilities, considering you still get 0 hits taken above level 60 from some normal mob.

Note: Above won't really be good for any Enhanced Effect armor when using Retribution &/or Salvation, also, you may find adding a third(3rd) Ability like Salvation. So by the time you are level 55... you should have 48% Knockdown / 48% Retribution & 34% Salvation charge up rates.

I find the double abilities to be the best for soloing, I really feel most abilities are just preference though. Also, I like to use Retribution on Monk/Ninja over Twohitback just so I can potentially take out one mob really fast if needed.

I don't find any 3+ hit ability useful to my game play since a lot of the time mobs don't line up in solo like you hope they would, but again, just my personal preference even though I feel these abilities are strong, the choices I made above were based on several tests using my current gear sets.

Really great points... I am testing out the Revenge Ability with Paladin at the moment... to be honest... as a Paladin, it is working perfectly (solo of course)... doubt it will be as useful as a Monk+, but will test that out some other time.

This means you can use abilities from other classes not just those that you play? Didnt know that!

Yes, blue skills power up/level up faster. Pink ones a tad slower, and red ones really really really slow.
