When you flash bios what does it do? Does it blink or go solid

The qflash led never even turns on and nothing happens.

hold it down until it turns on
99% sure the problem is you didnt update your bios
you tried to boot it without updating it which is 100% needed on any old mobo cept for asus dark hero

I did try holding it down. Trust me I tried everything.



So....


Took it back to microcenter. With the 5800x.

Didn’t post for them. They took it out, put in an older ryzen cpu and it posted. Updated the bios, put in the 5800x and posted. Was back there with the guy while they did it all. He said it wouldn’t work/post or wouldn’t be able to update without a different cpu like they did to update the bios.

Dunno, whatever. It works and I’m just glad it’s all over.

did they charge you for that

I think it’s usually $30 for a bios update and/or post test. But no, they did not charge me

so basically,

aorus x570 elite motherboard needs an older ryzen for it to post and properly install bios

I went back and looked at comments on some YouTube videos, and there was people that said the same thing. That they had to use a friends and/or their own previous ryzen cpus before they could use their 5600x or 5800x

As more people finally get their hands on the zen3 ryzens, I would hope this gets fixed soon
