thats just a hurt deer, CWD is an actual zombie brain melting disease in deer.

i shot a young buck, got him through both lungs with a .270. he laid down for 30 mins or so. when i approached he got back up and ran, laid down. i shot him again.

as i approached i could hear air wheezing into his chest through the double lung shot. 45 mins or so later he was still very much alive. 2 bullets in him. (3, i found out when i butchered him, another hunter shot his ass the same week as me).

so i climbed on top of him and slit his throat, he died, 10 mins later.

deer are insanely resilient.

But not zombie.

Ive seen people totally lucid and able to walk around with no face. Bodies are great at clotting and adrenaline can do a lot to remove pain.

It definitely died from infection though. Or shock. Or hypothermia. Point is it was dead a day or two later for sure.

Oh man thats creepy af. Not a zombie though someone/something fucked him up.

You'd have to dig up the remains (after gov't approval) and request a ME to sign a death certificate after providing a pathology report (assuming it isn't just very still in a coma-samble state of regenerating hibernative sleep).
