I can't log on battle.net on d2

when I try this message shows up :

Battle.net is unable to properly identify your application version.

Try run the game as administrator by right click the game icon and select "Run as administrator".

Patch the game, otherwise you probably tried using a vpn and now you're restricted.
or your simply just restricted, and need to wait it out.

you use win 7? some people say d2 wont work vista (not sure about win 7 ) you may need to upgrade to win 10

or try

Rigth click on the Diablo II shortcut
Click Properties
Compatibility tab
Check the box “Run the program in compatibility for”
Select your OS from the drop-down
Click Apply and then OK

I've been playing d2 on this computer for more than 2 years, now sudently I got this problem. Anyone else had that message before?

edit : I'm using window 10 on my computer

I saw on the internet that this might be a 14 days ban. Does the ban timer reset every time I try to open battle net?
