Looking for a new monitor..

PC is Ryzen 7 3700x with a 3070 GPU

Cant decide if i want 1080/240Hz or 1440/144Hz... any suggestions? I mainly play Warzone/FPS about 95% of the time

Budget isnt really an issue just want suggestions for a couple to watch for sales next week.

Thanks read reviews on most of them. Wondering about the 1080/240 vs 1440/144.... can anyone provide insight on which would be preferable given my equipment?

Depends. 1080/240 gonna pump out higher frames, might be important to you in the fps world

240hz is more of a gimmick
and u aint getting 240fps
witha 3070 on warzone

if you want super competitive
like tournys and hardcore shit
stay with 24-25 inch 1080p

otherwise 1440 144hz way to go

So not being a pro I likely won’t even notice the difference in the 240hz.

That being said.... if I go with the 1440/144hz does anyone recommend a monitor? I have read all the reviews on rtings and multiple sites. Most suggested:

Asus Tuf VG27AQ
Asus ROG Strix XG279Q (not really sure the difference between the two Asus except price)
LG 27GL850-B
Viewsonic Elite XG270QG

Anyone own one of these monitors and can speak to practical use vs testing?

A 3700X and an RTX 3070 can easily drive a 1440 monitor. So why restrict yourself to 1080 if you don't have to.

Here's that ASUS monitor on Amazon... 247 ratings and 74% of them are 5 star...

Here's both of those monitors at Newegg, so you can compare specs...

I tried to find differences between the two of them and can’t. Think I just go with the Asus Tuf VG27AQ as it’s $150 cheaper
