It's better than D3 in my opinion but not what id be expecting from a 2020 demo let alone when this comes out in 2022+.

For me the criteria is for it to be "Diablo" enough - dark, gothic, mood etc. In some aspects it looks even better than D2.
You perhaps are talking about graphics tech being outdated. Looks like that is the case but I don't really care.
