Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson said the police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown was not aware that the unarmed 18-year-old was accused of robbing a convenience store just minutes before the shooting.

Jackson said that "the initial contact with Brown was not related to the robbery." Jackson also clarified that Darren Wilson, the officer who shot and killed Brown, wasn't even responding to a call about the robbery as initially reported. Wilson instead stopped Brown because he was jaywalking.

Jackson later told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that, after the initial stop, Wilson realized Brown could be the suspect of the robbery when he spotted the potentially stolen cigars in Brown's hand.

You are upset that a violent criminal was promptly apprehended by police. It sounds stupid because it is stupid. If you want to focus on police abuse, focus on cases where the police are actually abusing power.

I posted quotes about a case with zero emotion behind the post, that someone else brought up.
I'm sorry if that offends you.

I played with toy guns as a kid all the time, no one shot me.
In fact no kid anywhere in australia has been shot by some demented sub 90 iq pig for playing with a toy.

So it's now a police officers duty to have to discern between a replica weapon and a real firearm in a matter of seconds when it's aimed at them? That sounds like a rabbit hole.

Utilizing a replica firearm in a lot of United States law is also equivalent to using a real firearm, one case is such as robberies. Obviously a different scenario, but the burden is not on others to have to make that distinction of real vs fake firearm.
