What parts could be repurposed,or used to make something cool,like camera microphone etc
Also the board could used for controling servos or something like that
I have always enjoyed tinkering like when I was little took out a motor of a broken toy and made a crappy drill with it lol

Many things can be done. Can turn it into a emulator system.. nothing spectacular like your new phone could.. but it can become a gaming system with 1,000s of games. At least one idea

there is gold in every phone. you can find it along the battery lining and components along the motherboard

some phones have up to a quarter or half ounce especially older phones.

May try this but not sure how much I can get without the proper chemicals :p(the best way I found to harvest the gold)


It's a original razer phone actually quite heavy spec wise,only had to get a new one because it doesn't support VoLTE

Have done a bit of research and seen most the parts I couldn't code to use in other ways sadly off a arduino

There isn't 7 grams of gold in every phone. You are WAY off. Science has gotten it down to the most minimum amount necessary comparatively to the "older phones or electronics." Think about this... 1/4 an oz is like $4-500 so you are saying each smart phone that's old has a potential value of $500-1000 which is comparable to the price of the phone new

This would be a waste of time trying to extract it.. and you need to do alot of crap to get the gold out. Maybe useful if you had an entire box of microchips but even then the yield would be so low that the items better have been donated or you ain't really gonna make any money versus the time you spend doing it.

Gold skyrocketed around early 2000 and they can't up the value of electronics due to the amount of gold they are using because then no one would afford it.. so they got good at using less.
