No idea, but i can assure you nobody has expressed desire to do so any time recently, so i doubt it'd be worth your time to figure it out lmao

oh ok makes sense.
when you open epacks you get actual cards, theyre just in digital form.
you see an actual scan of the card and you can redeem said card at a minimal fee shipped right to your door.
they also offer all digital cards for other genres of cards / nonserious / budget collectors... if that's a preference.
you can also trade your "real" digital cards to other ppl & view their collections and stuff.
pretty neat, especially if u dont have a card/hobby shop near you.

got it

seems silly minus the being able to "redeem" the digital card for a physical copy if its a highly sought after card, but that also makes me go back to the whole thing when companies were running full sheets of like griffy jr rookie cards and there was a perceived value due to rarity and they wernt actually rare at all

theres a doc on netflix i think called jack of all trades, its kinda weird because its also about a broken family but they were big in the card game, and it also looks at that and the shady shit that happened

Jack of All Trades is a very good documentary. A bit strange with two stories being told at once but I still enjoyed it.

I grew up in the 90's and was always a fanatic when it came to collecting hockey cards.

I still have everything from when I was a kid. Just about everything from the 90's is mass produced and worth very little sans some cool looking parallels/inserts.

Once in awhile I will buy an old box from the early 90's and just open packs. There used to be dozens of card shops during the boom. Now there is much less.

I never knew about epacks.

Seems like it would work for some people.

I have a lot of hockey cards and still collect occasionally.

Mainly inserts, parallels and Jersey cards/autographs from the late 90's - early 2000's.

Living that nostalgia haha. Its nice just to look at them on E*baey. Not very discerning when you see cards you paid lots for as a kid sell for so cheap though lol.

Good thing I liked to collect older cards from the 80's too. Those have held more value because they are not mass produced.

i never heard of epacks but imo thats kinda cool you can trade cards online and then if you get one you want to keep irl just redeem it
i used to be one of those nerds i guess trading pokemon cards and magic cards and all kinds of cards though so i kinda see where that could be something people enjoy
or even just trading in general irl stuff even video games items too i always loved doing that shit
