So I have this walkthrough of a healadin going on that I plan to post and share with you after I reached Nightmare. However, the strangest drop occurred and, as per the title, I have no idea how it could drop. Last night, I had killed Nith (Normal) and he dropped a unique ring and it was a iLvl 68 Carrion Wind. It is completely useless for my character and I'm waaay underlvled to use it even if I wanted to, but I went to go check the odds of the drop and Silospen says it's impossible; the earliest available drop from Nith is in Nightmare. Not sure if this is user error when using the drop calc or idk.


TL;DR: Carrion Wind dropped from Nith (Normal) but Silospen says impossible.

Nihlathak is level 68, the highest in normal.

Drop calc isn’t always accurate. It also tells that cow king items can be dropped by nm meph. Some kid cheated in a contest and added them bc he thought the drop calc was true.

IIRC, a guy was running a WT and acted like he found Cow King boots from NM Meph

He was obviously called out and I believe he disappeared.

Honestly with the collective amount of D2 knowledge in this sub I'm not sure why folk even try pulling stuff like that Just look what happened to JD-whatsit in the last Farmathon!

*edit* On-topic, I had no idea normal Nihlathak was lvl68, let alone that he could drop Carrion Wind. Nice find!

Edit: I also didn’t know Nihl was such a high level. I may farm him a bit in my WT. I sorely need a better weapon. I need a good crafting base and I have had no luck so far.

Edit 2: anyone know if the snakes are bugged in normal too?
