so i keep reading about people playing plugy and mods etc etc with their single player. I still play ladder but i would like to start playing single player (whilst still having access to playing ladder) as im from australia playing myself on the servers is quite laggy. From what ive read plugy and stuff requires you to go back patches etc, anyway around this?

You Can simple add runeword.txt and get ladder runewords without plugy

and if im correct /players 8 still works normally right?

i guess ill have a look for some files made to do it

Getting plugy is a mod that allows you a few features that you’ve said, but it doesn’t mean you don’t have access to bnet. You click “run PlugY” or “run d2”. The d2 will take you to your normal game access to bnet but PlugY will take you to the modded game mode.

Another option, as ZloR said, is add the ladder Runewords via text file. I have permission to show you a guide with a link for downloading the text from google drive, if you want.


At jsp we aren’t allowed to talk about how to get PlugY (but you can just google it). Whatever you do, remember to play the game to have fun!

Besides the chance to do DClone and Ubers I think the main reason folk use PlugY is the extended stash space.

As others have said, you don't need it to enable Ladder runewords for single player.
