last november built the following

ryzen 7 2700x 3.7ghz 8-core cpu
msi b450 gaming plus max atx am4 mobo
gskill ripjaws 16gb (2x8) ddr4-3600 cl19 ram
intel 660p 1tb m.2-2280 nvme
msi geforce gtx 1660TI 6gb ventus xs oc gpu
thermaltake smart m 750w 80+ bronze semi modular psu


all drivers and win10 are up 100% up to date


when i built the comp, i got 300+ frames in csgo on low settings

a few months ago, maybe 3 months by now, i started getting HORRIBLE frames. after trying everything under the sun (reinstall gpu drivers, all kinds of launch options, changing other settings for programs), i'm now worse than ever and get about 60fps.

my computer is cold as ice. cpu runs at 25-30C when im just browsing the web. gets up to 55C when i game. i get 120+ frames in pubg

does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

turn off vsync

confirmed that vsynch is off. frames arent capped at 60, that was supposed to be an approximate average guess.

Try different mat queue mode

ive never heard of this. do i want

mat_queue_mode "2"?

Multicore rendering on/off also changes your performance

multicore is set to on

do i need to restart game after changing mat queue mode? or should take instantly? i see no difference at 0, 1, 2

Id set it to "-1" or "2"

Changes should apply right away


Also you could setting launch options - dxlevel 95 or
-dxlevel 98


If nothing helps maybe try verify game files. Sometimes it fixes your game

just do windows 10 'reset' and keep ur files

then reinstall games, prob will work (you have to reinstall all ur games tho and remember all ur pw's to sites n stuff)
