I wanted to buy one back in May, but waited for a few reasons. Figured with economic issues and other factors causing PC parts to rise, I would wait.

Any chance things look better now? Or may as well just buy new PC parts, no point in waiting it out?

Price range is around $1200 to $1400. Just the tower and parts inside etc. Not asking for pieces here, just to give an idea of the types of parts I will be buying. Also because new CPU types may be coming out soon? No idea, have not been keeping up with the news for parts.

Thanks all!

Literally nothing new worth buying unless you have no pc or something over 10 years old.
Wait for a real die shrink. Fuck this 5-10% gains per new cpu... They just milking the dumb dumbs atm.

Lets spend money for fucking less then 30% gains over 8 years, omfg so worth.
Unless your doing streaming or you do video editing its a joke.
Just OC your shit and do minor upgrade unless you need that 2k/4k big dick status which clearly is out of your price range.

This is my current setup, from 2013. Only new part is a bit newer GPU because old one died. Mostly want a new PC to upgrade to new current models of mobo and ram and sort of just because it has been awhile. I have been wanting to setup a redundant HDD setup to backup my files and this a good excuse to that with a new build.
